Abwarten und Tee trinken
Замечания, советы приветствуются.

In society today, because of a wide range of subjects taught at school the topic of children education has become more complicated than it used to be. It is frequently asserted that if civics, religious studies and psychology are included into school curriculum it means that children do not only immerse in academic books, but also learn certain moral values. However, many people believe that children start developing understanding of other people in their families, therefore the knowledge how to live in society should be gained at home.
The question is, is it school or family who is responsible for teaching children how to learn social skills and prepare for life in society? From one point of view it is undeniable that everything starts with the family, and the family is the place where a person learns how to establish relations. However, school represents a wider community with more opportunities provided to learn how to function in a team. At school, children will experience co-operating and living with people from a whole variety of different backgrounds. This experience should teach them how to contribute to the life of their community and this is why some special courses and after-school activities should be provided to help children to prepare for the challenges along the road to becoming a good member of society.
In spite of being an adult now, I can still remember a psychological course offered at my school. If a person had a problem with a teacher or within their clique, they could visit a school counselor. As well as this, a number of various trainings were included into curriculum to help children to solve their problems and maintain better balance in their life.
In conclusion, although I accept that children gain the first idea of society from their relations with parents, in my view school should take more responsibility for helping the younger generation to become active members of society.
